I have been working for Chiang Kai Shek for a week now and he is a good boss, when I see him. I only ever see him when I am serving food. Today while I was out getting fresh vegetables for dinner tonight. I heard some men talking about the threat of Japanese attack. I asked them about it, and they told me that the Japanese will invade soon and I need to take my family and flee. I kept talking to the men and they spoke of a man who had seen Japanese naval ships in the waters and that no one was safe. The men said that the ruthless Japanese would do anything and everything. That they were evil. I sure do hope that this isn't true.
