Nanking Evesdrop

December 13th, 1937
Today while setting the table for dinner, I heard boss and Madame Soong talking about Nanking. I decided to listen in on their conversation. They were talking about how when Japan attacked Nanking, they were going on a raping spree. I started to gag, but kept on listening to try and learn new information. I heard of a particular story that just made me lose it, and the image in my head made me throw up. Madame Soong ran in and yelled at me. She said that if I was sick and preparing food, she was going to fire me. She told me that I was a horrible cook and that she could find anyone better than me anywhere on the street. I convinced her that I had slipped and hit my gut really hard, and that was the reason that I threw up. She bought it, but told me if there was any other incident like this then I was gone. Luckily I kept my job, but I just can't get that image out of my mind.
