December 11th, 1949
Sorry for the lack of posts for a while. A lot has happened. Boss made a valiant attempt to defeat the communists and to defeat the Japanese. Just yesterday we were trapped by communists, but luckily we escaped to Taiwan. We gathered up all of the great minds, cooks, and useful people and got on a boat to Taiwan. We got away from all of the fighting. I plan to create a life for myself here and send for my family soon. We will be reunited at last. I would like to thank who ever is reading this for listening to me talk about my experience.

THEY AGREED!!
July 3rd, 1942
Franklin Roosevelt agreed to the three demands and will be sending over the agreed upon goods soon. Tonight we are having a feast for the great Generalissimo. We will be dining on his favorite foods with lots of people invited. I will be preparing Baked Sweet Potato, and Potherb Mustard Leaves. I will prepare Huajao for the american Stilwell. He really enjoys this tongue numbing pepper, which is weird because he is a white man. These are usually a poor mans food. The food probably takes him to another pace where he doesn't have to worry and doesn't have the pressures of being a generalissimo. I will prepare Huajao for the american Stilwell to show to him how grateful we are for his countries help. He really enjoys this tongue numbing pepper, which is weird because he is a white man. Madame Soong isn't happy about the food choices, because she likes western food. But that does not matter because tonight is bosses night.

Three Demands
July 1st, 1942
Today boss gave me a very important task. He told me to deliver a very important message to the US Embassy to general Stilwell to forward to Washington DC. He didn't tell me what it was, but just the fact that it is important. As I walked with the note into my room to grab some clothes to wear, for I had spilled spices all over my clothing. When I got there the note fell out of its envelope right side up so that I could read it. It was addressed to the President of the United States of America Franklin Roosevelt. It had a very interesting list of three demands. He wanted 5,000 tons of supplies, 500 war planes, and 3 US Divisions for the Chinese theater of war. If the US sends this to us, there will be no way in heck that we lose to the stinking Japanese.

New Capital
January 27th, 1942
Chung King is now the capital of China. Boss made the announcement today that CHung King would be the new official capital of the country. It still is super polluted. The air is tough to breath, and rats rule the streets. The bombings still have direct impacts on the area. With the very small amounts of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, and other foods already low, the food levels are pretty much gone. The food that the city gets is shipped in from other places.

Pearl Harbor
December 8th 1941
I was eating my lunch on my break as I saw boss jumping for joy in the hallway. I asked him what he was doing. He responded by telling me that the Japanese had just bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. He said that now those Yankees were going to get fully involved in the war against Japan. They had just been giving advice, now they were going to start actually working. This is great news. It makes the war closer to being over so that I can go and find my family. I hope they are alive still, I just want to see them again.

Bombing
May 3rd, 1939
I was sitting in a chair on the back porch of the beautiful house that we are all staying in. On the first day that you could see the sun in years. My skin is so white that I might shrivel up with this new found sun. When suddenly you heard planes flying in, and then a few miles away there was a big BOOM. Bombing, the Japanese are bombing this city right know. I see this happening, and I turn and sprint into the house. I frantically search for the door which leads to the bombing room. As I enter the room, and shut the door we feel the earth shake as we are bombed. This continues all through out the night. When we finally get to leave, I go upstairs and look outside to see an ugly place with the affects lots and lots of bombing turned into an even more disgusting place.

Nanking Evesdrop
December 13th, 1937
Today while setting the table for dinner, I heard boss
and Madame Soong talking about Nanking. I decided to listen in on their
conversation. They were talking about how when Japan attacked Nanking, they
were going on a raping spree. I started to gag, but kept on listening to try and learn new information. I heard of a particular story that just made me lose it, and the image in my head made me throw up. Madame Soong ran in and yelled at me. She said that if I was sick and preparing food, she was going to fire me. She told me that I was a horrible cook and that she could find anyone better than me anywhere on the street. I convinced her that I had slipped and hit my gut really hard, and that was the reason that I threw up. She bought it, but told me if there was any other incident like this then I was gone. Luckily I kept my job, but I just can't get that image out of my mind.
